Have you always been into sport?

No I was an overweight kid who always wanted to be fit, but never did anything about it. In 2017 i turned my life around and since then I've not stopped being active.

How did you first get into triathlon?

I always liked to ride the bike. I even used my bike before 2017. Over the past year I've added running, I started to look out for a training plan/ style where I could combine what I love. That is how I started to move over to Triathlons.

What has been your favourite race to date and why?

So far because of the current situation I have only been able to do VR races, I can't say I have a favourite race. Hopefully this year will be my year, and I can get to do a triathlon.

What is your proudest achievement?

My transformation from 2017-2021

Have you ever had any racing disasters?

Not a disaster, but when I was running my first NYRR virtual marathon, we had a hurricane going through the UK. I was 2/3 into the race when my watch decided to save the course as the weather was so bad i couldn't see a thing, and I had to leave the race.

How do you overcome setbacks?

I think your mindset is important! Without setbacks you can't move forward in your life and in your training. You have to accept them and work with what you've got.

What advice do you wish you'd been given when you first started out?

Changes takes time. You have to be patient and dedicated.

What are your goals?

This year I want to run an Ultra X 125km race - hope it is not going to be cancelled - But my ultimate goal is to finish an Ironman

Who inspires you?

I think Nick Bare has the closest training style to mine. What he achieved is incredible.
