Georgie Tucker - Athlete Ambassador
Have you always been into sport?
Yes 100%! Cycling, swimming and running have always been my go to sports but I have pretty much had a go at everything, from climbing to surfing and from wakeboarding to archery! I love being active and trying new things!
How did you first get into triathlon?
One of my clients competes in Ironman events and suggested I give triathlon a go! So I signed up for a 70.3! Straight in at the deep end!
If you are interested in getting into Triathlon, Sundried's kit is suitable for beginners as well as seasoned athletes. We have both men's and women's options available.
What has been your favourite race to date and why?
I would say my first triathlon 70.3, Nottingham Outlaw, it was my first triathlon! And I hated it straight after but then half an hour later I was absolutely buzzing and wanted to do it all over again!
What is your proudest achievement?
Climbing Kilimanjaro, I did it for cancer research, after my mum had just got the all clear from breast cancer treatment, unfortunately we have lost 3 lovely ladies in my family to breast cancer so I wanted to raise a good amount of money! Which I did, and getting to the summit was super emotional and an amazing experience. That will be a hard one to beat!
Have you ever had any racing disasters?
Yes, on my first triathlon, I was looking forward to the swim as I'm a strong swimmer but as soon as I dived in I realised that my wetsuit (as suspected) was definitely too small! It strangled me the whole way and ruined what should have been an enjoyable swim, rookie move on my part!
How do you overcome setbacks?
We all have them, so normally have a little time out and think about what happened and then learn from them! I don't think I really believe in setbacks as such, they are all just part of learning and growing.
What advice do you wish you’d been given when you first started out?
How addictive it is! Once you start you don't want to stop!
What are your goals?
To do a marathon and possibly an Ironman.
Who inspires you?
Triathlon Jade! That girl is an amazing machine!
Why work with Sundried?
I love my Sundried kit so was super happy to work with you guys! I think it's hard to find feminine pieces especially with cycling but Sundried clothes are lush and super comfy!
