Have you always been into sport?

I got into sport when I was about 9 years old. Before doing triathlon I didn't take part in sport with a club or anything, the only sport I really did was school sports day and schools sports competitions!

How did you first get into triathlon?

I got into triathlon at about 9 years old when my dad brought a road bike and joined a triathlon club so that he could start going out on groups rides with people. From my dad entered me into the clubs kids race which was an Aquathlon, I practised a bit of my swimming and did some junior parkruns and then did the race. I came second from last! At this race we met the head coach of a club called comet where I then after joined the junior triathlon club and started to attend their sessions.

If you are interested in getting into Triathlon, Sundried's kit is suitable for beginners as well as seasoned athletes. We have both men's and women's options available.

What has been your favourite race to date and why?

My favourite race to date which I have done is the 2022 age-group world sprint triathlon championships in Montreal, Canada. This was my first ever international race and I managed to come away with the gold in the 16-19 category! It was a really fun and great experience getting to race with people from all around the world.

What is your proudest achievement?

My proudest achievement in triathlon was winning the gold in the age-group world sprint triathlon championships in Montreal, Canada. This was my proudest achievement as it was my first time racing internationally and I was racing against people from all over the world!

Have you ever had any racing disasters?

The biggest racing disaster I've had is when I crashed my bike at high speed. This was an absolute disaster as I could not finish the race as I badly injured myself when I crashed!

How do you overcome setbacks?

The way I have overcome set backs, such as when I fell off my bike and injured my shoulder, I made sure that I was trying my best to stay in a positive mindset. For instance, when I first went back to the pool it wasn't great! But I tried to tell myself that it was in fact an improvement as 3 weeks before hand I could not move my shoulder at all.

What are your goals?

My two main goals at the moment are focusing on the age group European and world championships for 2023 as I have qualified for both! Goals for these races are to place as high as I can and try and get an automatic qualification spot for the following year.

Who inspires you?

Someone who inspires me is Sophie Coldwell who races for GB for triathlon. She is one of my favourite GB athletes and inspires me as she is so driven and hard working to achieve what she wants to achieve within the sport.

Why work with Sundried?

I decided to partner up with Sundried because overall they are a really nice brand! They have many different collections within their brand which are all really great for training and racing in!
