Tell us about your journey to fitness? Where did it all start?
I’ve never really had a fitness goal, my goal has always to try and progress in the sport that I’m involved with. This was swimming when I was younger, roller and ice hockey for the past 20 years and now looking forward to triathlon and endurance swimming.
What are your training goals now?
Moving towards the end of 2020 and looking towards 2021. My goals are to start in sprint and Olympic triathlon and also some endurance type longer distance swimming events.
Tell us one unusual fact we wouldn’t know about you:
I don't like bananas, but I’m perfectly happy with things that are banana flavoured.
What advice do you wish you'd been given when you first started out?
When starting in any endurance sport start with training to lengths of time not distance travelled.
Do you follow a specific nutrition plan? If so, what/when do you eat?
Not at the moment, this is something that I need to start to look at.
What do you do to keep your clients motivated? Do you have any top tips to keep motivated?
This doesn't really apply to me directly. But what I have found over the years when it comes to training of any sort, is to make sure you enjoy what you do while your training or at least keep in mind that you will enjoy your sessions when you get to the end.
Talk us through your training regime.
At the moment this is dictated by my 5 month old daughter. I basically train as and when I can whilst trying to keep some kind of structure to my day/week.
If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pizza, without a doubt!
Why work with Sundried?
Sundried seems to be a company with real integrity, a company that has a defined goal and from the outside in, seem to be working within that goal. So many companies in the endurance sport space seem to be capitalising on a recent boom in the sport/s. Sundried seem to be a company that has a real understanding of the industry and a passion for the products that are produced.
