Toby Mitcheson Sports Coach
Toby was inspired by the 2012 London Olympics and now has big dreams of his own. He talks to Sundried about life in sport.
Have you always been into sport?
Yes, I have always been into sport and have done a variety of different sports.
What made you decide to become a sport coach?
I wanted to keep pushing my ability in all types of sport. I have always loved the Olympics and watch the races to see that competitive edge. The London Olympics in 2012 was a huge eye-opener for me.
What's been your proudest achievement?
My proudest achievement was being awarded Young Coach of the Year in 2017 by Hampshire Cricket.
How do you overcome setbacks?
I overcome any setback by looking at how I can improve and what I can learn from it. To improve physically and mentally, I like to plan how I am going to tackle each event.
What are your goals?
My fitness goals are to get stronger in the legs and lower back. My professional goals are to achieve a long-lasting career in the sports industry.
Who do you take inspiration from?
I get my inspiration from competing against my friends and family as well as competing in high level competitions and seeing all the pros perform too.
