Louise Elliott Yoga Instructor
Louise set up her own yoga business and has also competed in triathlons. She talks to Sundried about life in the fitness industry.
Have you always been into sport?
Yes, from an early age.
How did you first get into triathlon?
My partner got me into triathlon as he had previously done a few himself, so for my birthday a few years back he bought me a road bike and a wetsuit so I really had no excuse not to share his passion!
What has been your favourite race to date and why?
London triathlon as it was my first one! Looking back at my times I didn’t do particularly well but I didn’t care as I thought I had achieved so much.
What is your proudest achievement?
Running the London Half Marathon and setting up my yoga business, Flyte Yoga.
Have you ever had any racing disasters?
Not yet, fingers crossed! Just quite a few blisters!
How do you overcome setbacks?
By always thinking about how I'll have good days and bad days but by always picking myself up, dusting myself off and carrying on, it is far better than beating myself up.
What advice do you wish you'd been given when you first started out?
It’s mind over matter.
What are your goals?
To inspire people to do anything they dream of.
Who inspires you?
Michael Jordan.
Why work with Sundried?
As a yoga teacher, the environment is very important to me so I love that Sundried’s EcoTech collection is made from 100% recycled materials. It’s also really comfortable and great quality and an all-round great brand.
