Have you always been into sport?
I haven't been always into sports, I got into road cycling about 7 years ago.
What has been your favourite race to date and why?
Taking part in ride London 2016, this was my first big event. Riding on closer roads around London, this followed the 2012 Olympic route. It was a massive event with over 24,000 riders.
What is your proudest achievement?
My greatest achievement is cycling from land's end to John o groats , this was a distance of 980 miles in 10 days while raising money for prostate cancer.
Have you ever had any racing disasters?
The ride London 2018, I had a puncture and it was raining. So I got very wet and I actually suffered with mild hypothermia. I had to stop and get help from St. John’s ambulance, after which I still finished the event.
How do you overcome setbacks?
I overcome my setbacks by reflecting on my accomplishments and the things I have achieved, remembering that it's a long journey and focus on what I can control.
What advice do you wish you'd been given when you first started out?
The advice I wish I was given when I started was just give it a go, you never know what you may actually achieve.
What are your goals?
My goals are to stay fit and healthy into old age.
Who inspires you?
There are two people that inspires me. Mark Cavendish the road cyclist and my friend Katy Parrott.
