Have you always been into sport?

Yes! All sorts of sports at school. During university I focused on hockey – and I continue to play it for a club.

How did you first get into triathlon?

My sister-in-law bought me a sprint entry to the Banana man Tri event at Dorney Lake for my birthday about 4 years ago… perhaps it was a hint to keep fit – but I so loved it that I signed (us both!) up for the next race!

If you are interested in getting into Triathlon, Sundried's kit is suitable for beginners as well as seasoned athletes. We have both men's and women's options available. 

What has been your favourite race to date and why?

Weymouth 70.3. It was a miserable day (type 2 fun) but I met an old friend on the cycle leg, and qualified for my age-group.

What is your proudest achievement?

Qualifying for Taupo 70.3.

Have you ever had any racing disasters?

Racing my first few triathlons on my mountain bike – it was really hard work!!

How do you overcome setbacks?

Just try to relax, put things into perspective, and press on.

What advice do you wish you'd been given when you first started out?

Get in a low gear to spin out your legs before the run… and always accept post-race paraphernalia!

What are your goals?

To focus on improving my middle distance racing.
