Whey Box Protein Review
Wheybox was founded by brothers Jack, Sam, and Will, along with best friend Ben, who were frustrated with chalky, low-quality whey protein brands. They decided to create their own brand with an ethos of providing convenience to health-conscious people leading busy, fast-paced lives. Wheybox send a box of individual sachets of high-quality protein to your desk or door each month so that all the hard work is done for you! It couldn't be easier. I was really excited when they sent me some samples to try, but I was not prepared for just how good it was going to be!
I was sent a classic selection box with 10 flavours: Chocolate Orange, Chocolate Mint, Vanilla, Strawberry, Coconut, Chocolate, Toffee, Banana, Cookies and Cream, and Gingerbread. I have to admit that I haven't tried any protein flavours other than chocolate in a long time after a very unfortunate incident with a gag-worthy vanilla protein a while back, so when I saw the array of flavours I was dubious. But wow. Just wow. They are so delicious!
The cookies and cream protein was definitely my favourite, it was delicious! If you've ever had a Frijj Cookie Dough Milkshake then you'll know exactly what to expect as that's what it tastes like! Pure indulgence! My second favourite was the chocolate mint, which was reminiscent of the best chocolate mint ice cream I've ever had. Again, very indulgent and tasty without being unhealthy. I've never enjoyed protein shakes like this before! The gingerbread flavour was also a personal highlight, comparable to everyone's favourite Gingerbread Latte that we all go nuts over at Christmas. Well now you don't have to wait until December, and this is far healthier!
The other flavours were all absolutely wonderful too. A benefit of the Wheybox protein is that you only have to mix them with 200ml of liquid, as opposed to 300ml with most other brands. It means that it goes down quicker and is more cost-effective if you're having it with milk or soy milk. I had mine with soy milk which made the shake super creamy, just like a milkshake.
The powder mixes incredibly well and there are absolutely no lumps. The sachets really are very convenient, as the portion is already weighed out for you and you don't have to mess around with huge tubs or bags of protein powder (and manage to spill it everywhere like I usually do!) They're definitely perfect for taking to work or the gym, or even to have on the go during a busy day.
Usually, having a protein shake is a bit of a chore, especially when it tastes watery and grainy, but Wheybox has absolutely cracked it with their products. I actually looked forward to having my protein shake each day that's how good they are. If I could score them more than 10 I would, but a 10 will have to do. I'm off to order a truckload!
