Ruth is a qualified CrossFit coach and comes from a sporting background. She feels passionate about providing accurate and helpful nutrition advice to her clients so they can stay healthy.
Tell us about your journey to fitness? Where did it all start?
I played football at school and I practice CrossFit. I came into the fitness world not only because I come from a sports background, but also because I was disappointed by the fad diets and false information about nutrition that is often found online.
What are your training goals now?
My goal is to get fitter and healthier and that is what I provide for others. My goals are to remain fit and healthy to be able to be active around my friends and family. My regime involves warm-up, strength training, often Olympic weightlifting, and a high-intensity workout with a cool down.
Do you follow a specific nutrition plan? If so, what/when do you eat?
It's important to be open-minded and focus on your goals. I follow a healthy diet and have a cheat day here and there. I don't restrict myself to a set eating plan. It's important to eat organic/fresh products, good sources of protein, green vegetables, and healthy fats.
What do you do to keep your clients motivated?
I love keeping my clients motivated and I do that by using a variety of workout methods, which I always keep varied and interesting, and I always educate my clients on nutrition.
