Please tell us about sporting events you have taken part in or have coming up.

When I was at university in Alexandria in Egypt I was a runner in the 400m hurdles and was also on the athletics team. When I moved to Italy I started playing football for a small club and always took part in the sporting events in my city, including a triathlon.

Tell us about your journey to fitness? Where did it all start?

My journey to fitness started when I was young. I discovered that I love fitness and I was always playing football or running or doing gymnastics with my brother. When I was at school I decided that I wanted to study sports science and then went on to do this at university.

When I moved to Italy I decided to continue with my studies and I chose to study to become a personal trainer at ISSA Europa.

What are your training goals now?

My training goal is to become healthier and to improve my performance.

Tell us one unusual fact we wouldn’t know  you:

People always tell me I look like a famous footballer! Maybe one day I'll become famous?

My dream is to be a famous trainer and fitness model and also a good businessman.

I like The Zone Diet and usually eat lean and natural protein and low glycemic carbohydrates and a lot of fruit and vegetables.

What do you do to keep your clients motivated? Do you have any top tips to keep motivated?

To keep my clients motivated I stay positive because a positive attitude is infectious. I also remind them why they started.

Talk us through your training regime.

I do mostly functional training because I love it, and I love to train in the mornings at the park because it's so beautiful and lovely to be outside.

How do you keep your fitness knowledge up to date?

I do a lot of professional courses, and I'm a member of a fitness discussion group.

What are your top 3 trainer tips?

  1. Stay positive
  2. Keep your knowledge up to date
  3. Look great!

If you could only do one workout for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A burpee because it works every muscle group.
