How To Perform Burpee Exercise Tutorial The burpee is an exercise which definitely has a reputation following it! Speak to anyone at a gym and they'll probably moan and groan when you mention the word 'burpee'. But, as much as everyone hates them, they are one of the best exercises out there for targeting a full body burn and getting the heart rate up for a cardiovascular blast. They infamously target every muscle group in the body and after doing 10 or so you should really be feeling the burn.

To perform a burpee, start in a standing position. Crouch down and place your hands on the floor, then jump your feet back behind you. To complete a full burpee, you then lower your chest to the floor and then raise back up again, however for an easier option you do not need to do this. Jump your legs back in and jump up to the ceiling, raising your hands above your head. Again, for the advanced version, you would clap your hands above your head as this forces you to achieve the fullest possible range of motion.

If you can complete 10 in a row you are doing well, advanced exercisers will do well to complete 20+.
