Stanislav Korol - Athlete Ambassador

Have you always been into sport?

I have been involved in running since 2014, I took part in different competitions, such as 5K, 10K, 21K and planning to run 41K the next year.

How did you first get into triathlon?

I got into triathlon last year and the same year took part in Sprint and Olympic.

What has been your favourite race to date and why?

My favourite competition is Ironman and in August I took part in 70.3 in Tallinn.

What is your proudest achievement?

My proudest achievement was the Ironman 70.3 this year.

Have you ever had any racing disasters?

Once it was start in the very storm in the Black Sea. Waves were about 2 metres, but organizers didn’t cancel it, they only cut distance. Instead of 1500 m, it was 750 m. But it was not swimming, but mostly diving into the waves.

How do you overcome setbacks?

I try to analyse what was the reason of the failure and the next time try to prevent it.

What advice do you wish you'd been given when you first started out?

Never give up, even when it’s difficult. Follow your way. 

What are your goals?

My goals are to take part in World Championship in Kona in the next 5 years and win age group.

Who inspires you?

My family inspires me to continue training and taking part in competitions, as they see how I like this.
