The Triathlon runs alongside the Tour of the Dengie Cycle Sportive and Fun Ride. The Big East Triathlon offers two distances which are perfect for anyone who may be in preparation of an Ironman or for anyone looking for a challenge. The route consists of a swim through the River Blackwater, a cycle along the roads of the Dengie Peninsula, and a run along the sea wall. On the run, you will also encounter the historic Saint Peter's Chapel.
