Have you always been into sport?
Yes! My roots lie firmly in the equine world, where I compete regularly at Advanced Dressage. However, I just love being active in general. It's my relief and my passion!
How did you first get into triathlon?
Someone I knew qualified for Kona, and a small group of us, from the running club, went out to support. That was it; I wanted a go!
What has been your favourite race to date and why?
I loved Weymouth half Ironman as it was my first (and currently) only half Ironman. It's the closest to my home, which for some reason makes it seem more special, or maybe, relatable.
What is your proudest achievement?
Being lucky enough to represent Cornwall for both Road and Trail Races. Specifically in France, Trail de Guerledan.
Have you ever had any racing disasters?
Not yet! There is still time though!
How do you overcome setbacks?
I try to be patient, research and come back when I feel ready, not when someone else says I'm ready.
What advice do you wish you'd been given when you first started out?
Lube up! It's no good going into work the next day with red blotches, scabs and whatnot around your neck!
What are your goals?
To do a Full Ironman one day.
Who inspires you?
Why work with Sundried?
