Have you always been into sport?
Yes, since I can remember. I was always on my bike as a kid and if not I was playing football. As I got older I started doing more sports such as running, volleyball and golf.
How did you first get into triathlon?
I have only ever done two sort of triathlons, but they were for charity and were not true triathlons.
What has been your favourite race to date and why?
Probably the two triathlons for charity because they were fun as we did it in teams of 3.
What is your proudest achievement?
Hopefully that is to come when I finally get around to riding over 200 miles to Cornwall in less than 2 days for charity. It’s been postponed due to the current pandemic.
Have you ever had any racing disasters?
Only that I’ve never won, but it’s the taking part that counts
How do you overcome setbacks?
Keep moving forward.
What advice do you wish you'd been given when you first started out?
Start taking sport more seriously at a younger age.
What are your goals?
To keep fit and live as long as possible to see my children grow up. Oh and do as many fundraisers for charity as possible.
Who inspires you?
Sports wise it would have to be Geraint Thomas.
