Have you always been into sport?
Yes from the minute I was born my mum and dad said I never grew because I never had time.
How did you first get into triathlon?
My husband told me I would be useless at one, secret practice and the Age group win.
What has been your favourite race to date and why?
Mountain Mayhem 24 hour mountain bike race, as a solo. Because it was a mad idea , I rode half the race with no saddle, was so tired in my head rode into a tree at 3am, you couldn't wipe the grin off my face when the sun was coming up and cried with sheer joy of the event when I crossed the line
What is your proudest achievement?
Wearing a GB trisuit.
Have you ever had any racing disasters?
My feet being too numb to realise I had gas canisters stuffed in the end of my run shoes at a European champs.
Having to borrow a bike with a jammed seat post too high and someone else's bike shoes two sizes too big, filled with newspaper to fill the gap.
How do you overcome setbacks?
What advice do you wish you'd been given when you first started out?
Spend some money on a decent bike box from the first time you need one.
What are your goals?
Getting more people from all walks of life to the start lines of something that is a challenge but achievable.

To be honest, my friends.
