    Skipton Triathlon 2017 is the first triathlon of the season and features a pool-based swim, making it the perfect introduction to the sport made famous by the Brownlee brothers!It's ideal for novices but is also suitable for seasoned athletes.

    The Skipton Triathlon is now in its twelfth year and is one of the biggest pool-based triathlons in England. The sprint distance race is based between the Aireville Park and Craven swimming pool. The race is popular with first-time triathletes and very popular with club members; around eighty different clubs are represented each year. The event also has a prize pot of £1,000.

  • Louth Triathlon

    Louth Triathlon Indoor Pool Swim Bike Run

    Location: Meridian Leisure Centre, Wood Lane, Louth, Lincolnshire, LN11 8AR

    Event Type and Distance: Sprint Triathlon 400m pool swim/22k bike/5k run

    Amenities: Chip timing, indoor pool swim, prizes, medals for all competitors, secure transition, post-race massage

    This sprint distance triathlon is ideal for 1st timers as well as the more experienced triathlete. The swim is held in an indoor swimming pool in a leisure centre and the safe, secure transition area is in the neighbouring school fields. The bike course is relatively flat, although watch out for a few inclines which will force you out of the saddle.

    The run takes you around some of the lanes in Louth and up an old disused train line along Railway Walk. The walk is very picturesque and a little hidden gem in Louth, and possibly the best part of the race. The water station is positioned so you can get liquid refreshment twice along the 2 lap course. Railway Walk will be closed to the general public on race day, so you can enjoy the tree lined path without interruption.

    The 7th Maldon Triathlon offers both sprint and Olympic distances, as well as a Half Ironman course. The swim section takes place in the River Blackwater, the bike section takes place around the Dengie Peninsula, and the final leg is a lapped run around the Promenade Park and Hythe Quay. The routes have many cafes along the way for friends and family to cheer you on. 

    The start and finish of the race are at Promenade Park in the heart of Maldon. Maldon is situated just 40 miles North East of London yet still maintains its original character with charming buildings and an impressive range of individual shops and places to eat & drink. Promenade Park offers plenty of facilities to keep you busy throughout the race including the water splash park, galleon play ship, ornamental lake, amphitheatre, model boating lake, museum, bouncy castle, fairground attractions and numerous cafes. The run course passes through Hythe Quay where you can enjoy the atmosphere or take a cruise on one of the traditional Thames Sailing Barges.

    Skegness Triathlon SBR Events Sundried

    With the swim in a modern 25m pool at Fresh Fitness at Richmond Holiday Park, this is a great venue to start the 1st race in The Lincs Tri Series. After completing 16 lengths in the pool, competitors will exit onto grass and enter transition to grab their your helmet, shoes and bike. The bike route follows along Drummond Road and consists of a 2 lap course between the Holiday Park and Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve on a relatively flat and straight 18k course. The route has turning points at either end that will be fully marshalled. The run element is a trail run from Richmond Holiday Park and along a private road to the Skegness Eco Coastal Centre. Part of the course will be around the beautiful Eco Centre and its wooded areas. Skegness Triathlon Club is based at the award winning Richmond Holiday Park and will be on hand to talk triathlon as well as to give advice on membership to the Triathlon Club.

    Skegness is a typical British seaside town boasting beautiful sea views for tourists and locals alike. This triathlon takes place in and around a holiday park and competitors are lucky enough to be able to follow private roads and see sights that others may not be able to see.

    The Hole Park Mountain Bike Duathlon is set within the beautiful award-winning gardens and grounds of Hole Park in Kent with views of the Weald and even as far reaching as Hastings. The run section takes in views of Hole Park orchards, while the mountain bike section crosses bridges and over fields with some testing sections to spark up the fun. This event is ideal for everyone from the beginner mountain bike duathlete to proven professionals.
