    The renowned St Neots Half Marathon returns in 2017 with the new start/finish used in 2016. The 2016 event sold out its 1,500 places within 6 hours of opening. The half marathon features a 3-mile downhill finish means this race is renowned for its fast times and is a great opportunity for a PB.

    On Sunday the 25th of June 2017, the Grimsthorpe 10 race series returns to Bourne in Lincolnshire.

    Set in the beautiful grounds of Grimsthorpe Castle, in the delightfully charming Lincolnshire countryside just 10 minutes off the A1, this event makes for a perfect summer race, whether you take on the family friendly 5k or go for the longer challenge of 13.1 miles.

    The four routes take you past various delights within the private grounds including the castle, lake, tree-lined tarmac avenues, ancient woodland, and even a disused Victorian railway. The train line no longer exists, but the 10 and 13.1-mile routes travel along this section and take you to a part of the world generally unseen by the public.

    The race start/finish line will be in front of the castle along the driveway, offering a unique venue. All finishers receive a bespoke race medal!

  • Kimbolton Castle Half Marathon

    Entry Price: £20 (affiliated), £22 (unaffiliated)

    The Kimbolton Half Marathon is a single lap route on the country roads of historic Kimbolton in Cambridgeshire, just west of Cambridge and north of Bedford. The route takes runners from the grounds of Kimbolton Castle through the stunning surrounding countryside and villages before looping back around to the castle. 

    There is a £100 cash prize for the winning male and winning female of the Half Marathon!

    Kimbolton Castle is steeped in history and was the final home to Henry VIII's first wife, Catherine of Aragon. Sundried will be at the event providing all competitors with goody bags with additional treats from our partners.

  • Southend Half Marathon

    Southend Half Marathon

    Location: East Beach, Shoeburyness, Essex, SS3 9AD

    Event Type and Distance: Half Marathon (13.1 miles) run

    Amenities: Chip timing, medals for all competitors, sponsorship, free bag drop, paid parking, changing facilities, refreshments, sports massage, closed roads

    Southend Half Marathon is a two lap, traffic-free course along the Southend coastline. The annual event is set to bring in around 5,000 participants and is always a popular local spectacle. It is always set to be a warm event, with beautiful views across the Thames Estuary for runners as they race along the fast, flat course. There are always thousands of spectators creating an electric atmosphere.

    The run begins at East Beach in Shoeburyness, Essex and loops up the closed seafront road twice and back to the starting point. The event is organised by Havens Hospices with some of the entry fee going to their charity.
